Beth Moore, A Woman's Heart: God's Dwelling Place

"Acceptance is always based on atonement."

"May we be filled with holy fear when we presume to judge another's soul."

The burnt offering - offered evening and morning, on Sabbath, at annual feasts, other special days; perfect specimen: bull goat, lamb pigeon, or dove; entire animal burned on the altar; offering chosen according to ability to give

The grain offering - only offering that did not involve bloodshed; portion burned on altar, remainder given to priests

The peace offering - only certain parts of internal organs burned; priest received breast and right thigh; giver received quantity of meat for celebration. Thanksgiving was the heart of the peace offering.

The sin offering - atone for sin committed unintentionally; blood sprinkled seven times before the veil (81).

The guilt offering - chiefly concerned with restitution

All 5 sacrifices = There must be payment for sin, and God has a payment plan (82).
