Beth Moore, A Woman's Heart: God's Dwelling Place

Too much it seems for me You've done
That thieves and liars like me be won,
To stand adorned in righteousness,
Blood-bathed from sin's own wretchedness.
Your royal robes You laid aside
That You might dress Your blessed bride,
A gift too precious to ignore!
Let me not rest 'til You're adored! (47)

--not depending upon God dependency's sake, but for the sake of relationship

In those things that tempt me to fear is a God-graven invitation to faith.

Is my grumbling caused by fear?

When I cease being able to relate, I cease being effective in the Kingdom.

Exodus 36:3

"... the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after morning."

"God gave, not because of their faithfulness, but because of His faithfulness."

"hearts--... stirred or stale"? (52).

Do I give anything without some expectation of compensation?

"Gold is mentioned in God's Word more often than any other metal.... Gold, signifying rarity and purity, represent God's deity" (55). "Works of gold acknowledge that He alone is worthy, that He alone is God" (57). "... we offer God something more precious than gold when we joyfully bay our sufferings on His altar and agree to be purified by the flames that threaten to consume us..." (58).

"Silver was a visual aid by which God introduced and taught the concept of redemption and atonement through ransom money" (55). "Works of silver proceed from a heart that responds with inexpressible gratitude for our redemption and the inestimable price paid for our atonement" (57).

"Bronze appears to symbolize strength and judgment."

"Precious stones, or jewels, appear to represent God's saints" (55). Works of precious stones result when children of the royal priesthood serve and minister as we are fully equipped with the gifts of the Holy Spirit" (57).

Only I can decide how my fires will affect me. Will I be sanctified or scarred? (58)

LORD, You are more precious than silver.
LORD, You are more costly than gold.
LORD, You are more beautiful than diamonds,
And nothing I desire compares with You.
