Psalms 62:1-2
"Truly my soul silently waits for God. From Him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved."
Beth Moore, Loving Well
I. I can love because I'm already loved, not so that I will be loved. I can say, "I love ____ because God first loved me."
II. I can love with God's love.
Anything I manipulate to get, I rarely keep. If love doesn't work, we settle for attachment.
"I can love anyone through anything because I am loved." Romans 5:5
III. I can learn to love with insight. We never have a Biblical mandate to love blindly. Why would I expect a handicapped person to jump up and hug me? If I do not allow God to deal with my "stuff," I become Testy/For.
IV. God going to call me to see hard love as an offering on His altar. Ephesians 5:1-2; Phil 1:9
