David Platt, Radical

"The message of Biblical Christianity is 'God loves me so that I might make Him--His ways, His salvation, His glory, and His greatness--known among all nations'" (70).

"... spend all of our lives for the sake of all of God's glory in all of the world" (83).

All Jesus wanted was "a few men who would think as He did, love as He did, see as He did, teach as He did, and serve as He did.... They were... His life" (88-89).

"The plan of Christ is not dependent on having the right programs or hiring the right professionals but on building and being the right people.... who realize that we are all enabled and equipped to carry out the purpose of God for our lives." People scattered among the church "take ownership for accomplishing the plan of Christ" (92).

"He has given us people, and He has said, 'Live for them. Love them, serve them, and lead them. Lead them to follow me, and lead them to lead others to follow me" (93).
