Beth Moore, Believing God: Experiencing a Fresh Explosion of Faith

We "act on what we most remember."

The "appropriate practice of memory[:]... remembering the vastness of a powerful and sovereign God... in every situation we recall. Remembering God make sup a vital part of believing God."

In situations in which I feel I've been unfaithful to God, I can practice "retroactive faith... that God can do miraculous good even with terrible failure.... I have most effectively learned to walk around the pit because I have such vivid memory of falling into it" (164).

"... the essence of forgetting is allowing God to heal... and no longer [acting upon] behalf of negative, hurtful, or destructive memories... It no longer empowers my behavior" (166).
