"Making agreement with the enemy will always cost me more than I want to pay" (76).

The enemy tries to coax me into making peace with my bondage.

I'll never make it to my milestones if I can't make it through my moments.

I Corinthians 10:13

THE way of escape; exit; implies an END.

Cycle of temptation: hard > hardest > easier > under my feet

I will never sustain freedom by doing only what I "ought" to do.

Giving in to temptation = wrongly associating benefit with something that brings me harm (76-77).

"We tend to think of hand-me-down baggage as part of who we are rather than how we're bound" (80).

"The cross of Calvary is enough to set [me] free from every yoke; and [God's] Word is enough to make liberty a practical and perpetual reality, no matter what those before us left as an 'inheritance'" (80).

Have I "sought Jesus as Savior but ignored Him as deliverer?" (80)

"... man of us still carry [chains] in our hands or have them dangling from our necks out of pure habit, lack of awareness, or lack of Biblical knowledge" (81).

My "spiritual lineage can overpower and disable any continuing negative effects of [my] physical lineage" (81).

Although I cannot change the past, God can help me change what I do with it (83).

Praying God's Word

Please don't let me miss the joy and fulfillment of living my life for You. Please don't let my own stubbornness of heart stand in the way of fulfilling Your plan for my life.

"that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God"

Help me to "flesh out" the righteousness of Christ in my life.

You will surround me with songs of deliverance. Please empower me to walk with You faithfully and never to cease pursuing a blameless walk.
