Psalm 18:18-19

You, LORD, have been my support. You brought me out into a broad place. You delivered me because You delighted in me.

Psalm 18:28-35

You will enlighten (illumine) my darkness. Your way is perfect; Your Word is proven; You are a shield to all who trust in You. You arm me with strength and make my way perfect. You have given me the shield of Your salvation. Your right hand has held me up.

feet swift to run to evil

You want me to enjoy Your peace. "The key to peace is authority. Peace is the fruit of an obedient life" (68).

to avoid prayer is to avoid peace (69).

prayerless lives = powerless lives

Ephesians 1:17-19

Prayerlessness is "the most prohibitive obstacle in the road to victory" (70).

Human nature is self-destructive (70).

Performance replaces passion.

b. By faith, make Yourself real to me through Your Word, and lavish me with Your love.
c. Help me to be merciful toward others and avoid analyzing their problems.
d. Help me to withhold nothing from You.
